CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 90-065
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE
OF A POLICE VEHICLE
WHEREAS, a request for bids to purchase a police vehicle was
publicly advertised in accordance with city bid procedures; and
WHEREAS, Hutchings Chevrolet-Oldsmobile-Cadillac, Inc. ,
submitted the low bid, and the vehicle offered suits the needs of
the Seward Police Department; and
WHEREAS, Exxon Company, U.S.A., has offered to pay $12,000
towards the purchase of the vehicle, and the state of Alaska will
reimburse the city for the balance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to purchase a
vehicle for the Police Department in an amount not to exceed
Eighteen THousand, Five Hundred and Thirty-One Dollars and Seventy-
Six Cents ($18,531.76) from Hutchings Chevrolet.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 25th day of June, 1990.
