CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 90-080
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 1
TO THE KENT DAWSON COMPANY CONTRACT FOR LOBBYING SERVICES
WHEREAS, on July 1, 1989, the city of Seward entered into an
agreement with Kent Dawson Company to provide lobbying services to
the city; and
WHEREAS, said agreement was for a one-year term to run through
the Second Session of the Sixteenth Alaska State Legislature; and
WHEREAS, the city wishes to continue the agreement through the
First Session of the Seventeenth Alaska State Legislature;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Amendment No. 1 to the Kent Dawson Company
agreement for lobbying services, a copy of which is attached and
incorporated herein by reference, is hereby approved, and the City
Manager is authorized to execute same on behalf of the city of
Seward.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 9th day of July, 1990.

. AMENDMENT NO, 1

AMENDMENT NO, 1, to the AGREEMENT between the City of Seward
and Kent Dawson Company, dated July 1, 1989, follows:
WHEREAS, the CITY OF SEWARD with offices at Seward, Alaska,
hereinafter called "Seward," and KENT DAWSON COMPANY, an Alaskan
company with attiees at 311 North Fr~nklin Street, Juneau. Alaska,
hereinatter called "Daws()!1," entered llHO an AGREEMENT tor
consulta+ive, adVIsory, and lobbying serVIces on July 1, 1989; and
WHEREAS, the continuation ot the existing AGREEMENT IS
desirous to both Seward and Dawson;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual exchange of the
promises of the parties, the parties agree to amend the AGREEMENT
as tollows:
The only change in the AGREEMENT shall be to Paragraph 1.
Duties an~-1erm, final sentence amended to read:
"Seward hereby
contracts and employs Dawson as of July 1, 1990, through the First
Session of the Seventeenth Alaska State Legislature and ending with
final action by the Governor on any projects relative to this
agreemen t . "
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, all other terms and conditions of
the AGREEMENT dated July 1, 1989, remain in force and effect,
