CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 90-085
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS AND
CONTRIBUTING TO THE SEWARD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
FOR PRINTING OF SEWARD PROMOTIONAL BROCHURES
WHEREAS, the Seward Chamber of Commerce has exhausted its
supply of Seward brochures; and
WHEREAS, these brochures are vital to the overall community
tourism promotion campaign; and
WHEREAS, the state of Alaska Division of Tourism will match
local funds up to $4,000 for promotional materials; and
WHEREAS, lapsed funds provided by Exxon during the winter oil
spill cleanup are available in the General Fund Fund Balance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The sum of $4,000 is hereby appropriated from the
General Fund Fund Balance Account No. 101-3070 to the Chamber of
Commerce Contribution Account No. 101-1189-5610 to match the
Chamber of Commerce funds and state of Alaska Division of Tourism
matching funds for the printing of Seward promotional brochures.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 23rd day of July, 1990.
