CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 90-086
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING RECEIPT OF A STATE
GRANT FOR DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE SEWARD
TRANSMISSION LINE FROM LAWING TO FORT RAYMOND SUBSTATION
WHEREAS, the 1989 Legislature, through HB 463, Section 144,
Page 115, Lines 1-5, appropriated $9,500,000 from the Railbelt
Energy Fund for the design and construction of the Seward transmis-
sion line from Lawing to the Fort Raymond Substation; and
WHEREAS, AS 37.05.315 requires that the city accept this grant
by ordinance or resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. Grant No. 7/91-956 in the amount of $9,500,000 for
the design and construction of the Seward transmission line project
is hereby accepted.
Section 2. The sum of $9,500,000 is hereby appropriated to
Capital Project Account No. 208-2080.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 23rd day of July, 1990.
