CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 90-092
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ACCEPTING AN ALPAR GRANT AND
APPROPRIATING THE FUNDS FOR LITTER CONTROL
WHEREAS, the city of Seward has received a grant totalling
$2,800 from Alaskans for Litter Prevention and Recycling (ALPAR)
for the purpose of hiring local teenagers to perform litter control
and city beautification; and
WHEREAS, this program will be organized and administered by
the Parks and Recreation Department; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to accept a
grant from ALPAR totalling $2,800 and to appropriate said funds
into the Teen Litter Control Project Account No. 215-2150-4680-
0900.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 13th day of August, 1990.
