CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 90-101
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A CONTRACT FOR
THE EXCAVATION AND PLACEMENT OF GRAVEL AT THE
SEWARD MARINE INDUSTRIAL CENTER
WHEREAS, on August 9, 1990, the city advertised a request for
bids to move approximately 20,000 cubic yards of gravel from the
stream channel of Fourth of July Creek to the North Dock and
various roads in the Seward Marine Industrial Center~ and
WHEREAS, four bids were received~ and
WHEREAS, Metco, Inc. submitted the low bid~ and
WHEREAS, all work within the Fourth of July Creek will be
performed in compliance with a Corps of Engineers permit and
directions by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game~
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
section 1. The city Manager is hereby authorized to award a
contract for excavation and placement of gravel in the Seward
Marine Industrial Center to Metco, Inc. for an amount not to exceed
One Hundred Thousand, Nine Hundred Dollars ($100,900) plus a
contingency of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000) for a total
project amount of One Hundred Fifteen Thousand, Nine Hundred
Dollars ($115,900).
section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the city Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 27th day of August, 1990.
