CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 90-113
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES TO ACQUIRE EASEMENTS
AND RIGHTS OF WAY FOR THE 115 KV TRANSMISSION
LINE FROM LAWING TO SEWARD
WHEREAS, a request for proposals from a professional firm to
review easements and permits and acquire additional land necessary
to construct the 115 KV transmission line from Lawing to Seward was
properly advertised; and
WHEREAS, four firms submitted proposals; and
WHEREAS, a committee of city staff familiar with the project
and the proposed work reviewed the proposals and interviewed the
two best qualified proposers; and
WHEREAS, the committee determined that the firm of Land Field
Services, Inc., was best qualified overall;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
a professional services contract with Land Field Services, Inc.,
for an amount not to exceed $50,000 to review existing easements
and permits and to acquire additional land necessary to enable
design and construction of the 115 KV transmission line from Lawing
to Seward.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 24th day of September, 1990.
