CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 90-115
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, CONTRIBUTING FUNDS TO THE
SEWARD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR SUPPORT IN
THE PURCHASE OF A TROLLEY
WHEREAS, on August 27, 1990, the Seward Chamber of Commerce
requested that the city of Seward provide support to the Chamber's
efforts to purchase and maintain the Seward Trolley as a future
enterprise operation for the Chamber; and
WHEREAS, on September 10, 1990, the City Council recommended
a contribution in the amount of $2,000 be forwarded to the Chamber
in support of the efforts to purchase the trolley;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The sum of $2,000 is hereby appropriated from the
General Fund-Fund Balance Account No. 101-3070 to the General
Services Chamber Contributions Account No. 101-1189-5610, and the
budgets are amended accordingly.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to forward to the
Seward Chamber of Commerce a contribution in the amount of $2,000
towards the Chamber's effort to purchase the trolley.
Section 3. This contribution shall be designated solely for
the Chamber's efforts to purchase the trolley, and the funds shall
be returned to the city should these efforts not be completed.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward,
Alaska, this 24th day of September, 1990.
