Sponsored by: Murphy CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA RESOLUTION NO. 90-120 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE DESTRUCTION OF THE BALLOTS FROM THE 1989 REGULAR ELECTION WHEREAS, city of Seward Resolution No. 86-074 established an amended schedule for the retention of public records of the city; and WHEREAS, according to the retention schedule, voted ballots may be destroyed by the City Clerk one year following certification of an election if approved by resolution of the City Council; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that: Section 1. The City Clerk, legal custodian of the municipal records of the City of Seward, is hereby authorized and instructed to destroy the voted ballots from the 1989 regular election of the city of Seward. Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 8th day of October, 1990.
