Sponsored by: Schaefermever CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA RESOLUTION NO. 90-123 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, RELOCATING THE DESIGNATED WINTER CAMPING AREA WHEREAS, Section 7.15.010(B) permits the City Council to designate certain city campgrounds for winter camping by resolu- tion; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. Railway Avenue between Sixth winter campground; and 88-030 designated the area along and Seventh Avenues as the city's WHEREAS, the Public Works Department desires to use this area for snow disposal this winter; and WHEREAS, the use of this area for snow disposal would create a savings in snow removal costs and would decrease the amount of snow to be placed in the caravan camping area along the waterfront; and WHEREAS, this would also free the small gravel parking area just south of the Adams Street pavilion for winter camping; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that: Section 1. The area along Railway Avenue between Sixth and Seventh Avenues is hereby closed to winter camping. Section 2. The small gravel parking lot south of the Adams Street pavilion is hereby designated the city's winter campground. Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
