CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 90-127
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE
PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT TO BE AUCTIONED BY RITCHIE BROS.
WHEREAS, beginning Tuesday, October 9, 1990, an auction will
be conducted in Anchorage for items remaining from the Exxon oil
spill cleanup effort; and
WHEREAS, city personnel have surveyed the items available and
found that many will meet the needs of the city and should be
available at a reasonable price; and

WHEREAS, funds for this account would be appropriated from
various fund balances of the city;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. A capital equipment 1990 fund, Fund No. 204-2040,
is hereby established for the purpose of purchasing equipment and
material used in the Alaska oil spill cleanup operations at an
auction conducted by Ritchie Brothers Auctioneers International in
Anchorage the week of October 9, 1990.
Section 2. The sum of $8,000 is hereby appropriated from the
Harbor Fund Balance Account No. 401-3070; the sum of $1,000 is
hereby appropriated from the Water/Sewer Fund Balance Account No.
701-3070; the sum of $16,000 is appropriated from the Electric Fund
Balance Account No. 501-3070; the sum of $47,500 is appropriated
from the General Fund Fund Balance Account No. 101-3070; and the
total sum of $72,500 is appropriated to the Capital Equipment 1990
Account No. 204-2040-XXXX.
Section 3. Any appropriated monies not expended for the
equipment and material budgeted above for each fund will lapse on
November 30, 1990 and will revert to the fund from which it was
appropriated.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
