RESOLUTION 2000-053
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, ADOPTING LANGUAGE CLARIFYING BILLING PROCE-
DURESFOR THE ELECTRIC TARIFF "INDUSTRIAL" RATE SCHEDULE.
WHEREAS, The "Industrial" rate for the Electric Enterprise Fund Requires "over 750 kW
demand in order for a customer to qualify for billing under this rate; and,
WHEREAS, The existing rate has no provision for a customer dropping below the minimum
750 kW demand once they are on the "Industrial" rate; and
WHEREAS, An amendment to the Electric Tariffis necessary to allow billing "Industrial"
customers at the minimum 750 kW demand level even ifthey drop below this level; and,
WHEREAS, The attached electric rate schedule adds the necessary wording to allow such
billing; "For billing purposes, the minimum demand under this rate schedule shall be 750 kW";
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The Electric Department Rate Schedule is changed to include the words "For
billing purposes, the minimum demand under this rate schedule shall be 750 kW" for the Industrial
rate.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 22nd
day of May 2000.
