HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION
RESOLUTION NO. 22:JM
A RESOLUTION OF THE SEWARD HISTORIC PRESERVATION
COMMISSION, RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL PLACE
TWO LAKES PARK ON THE SEWARD REGISTER OF HISTORIC
PLACES
WHEREAS, City Council Ordinance No. 95-10, established the Seward Register of
Historic Places in order to locally recognize properties important in Seward's history; and
WHEREAS, an application to place Two Lakes Park on the Seward Register of Historic
Places has been prepared for review and recommendation to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, Two Lakes Park is significant for its association with early recreation in
Seward.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Historic Preservation
Commission that:
Section 1. Two Lakes Park is eligible for placement on the Seward Register of Historic
Places as a property associated with historic events or persons of local and state significance.
Section 2. It is hereby recommended that the City Council place Two Lakes Park on the
Seward Register of Historic Places.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Seward Historic Preservation Commission this 21st
day of April, 1999.
