A RESOLUTION OF THE SEWARD HISTORIC PRESERVATI COMMISSION,
REQUESTING PARTNERSHIP OPTIONS WITH THE RE RRECTION BAY
HISTORICAL SOCIETY FOR THE FIRST FRIDAY SIDE HISTORICAL
LECTURE SERIES FOR THE 2004-2005 SEASON
ission initiated the First Friday

WHEREAS, the Seward Historic Preservation Co
Fireside Historical Lecture Series, which ran from October,
WHEREAS, the 2004-2005 session of the L ture Series is scheduled to begin in
October, 2004, and
WHEREAS, the Commission looks fo ard to establishing partnerships with other
organizations in the community who share simil enthusiasm for presenting and preserving local
history; and
WHEREAS, the Commission w Id like to provide the Resurrection Bay Historical
Society with the opportunity to be in'J Ived with the First Friday Fireside Historical Lecture
Series during the 2004-2005 season; d
WHEREAS, Resolution 04-01 was passed at the April 2004 meeting. This resolution
requested a partnership with e Pioneers of Alaska for the First Friday Fireside Historical
Lecture Series. The Commis on is awaiting their response; and
WHEREAS, the pporting tasks associated with hosting the Lecture Series are:
1. finding speakers an securing release forms,
2. advertising,
3. coordinating fo the use of a facility,
4. acquiring s s and door prizes,
5. emceeing t e presentation,

EREAS, if the ReslfITection Bay Historical Society would like to be involved with
II of the supporting tasks it would be greatly appreciated by the Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Historic Preservation
