HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes1992-013 Sponsored by Schaefermeyer CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 92-13 A RESOLUTION OF THE SEWARD PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION, APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AS REQUESTED BY PIERRE AUTHIER, DBA THE JOINERY Whereas, Pierre Authier, dba The Joinery, has requested a conditional use permit to construct and operate a commercial woodworking shop at 612 Third Avenue which is located within the Office Residential District; and Whereas, the proposed use is consistent with the purposes of the zoning district; and Whereas, the proposed new structure, if reduced in size, will meet all setback requirements of the property; and Whereas, the proposed use meets all criteria established for the granting of a conditional use permit; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning Commission that: Section 1. A Conditional Use Permit for the construction and operation of a commercial woodworking shop at 612 third Avenue is hereby GRANTED to Pierre Authier, dba The Joinery, under the following conditions: 1. The addition will be reduced in size to 27 ft. x 38 ft to allow for 6-foot side yard setbacks and to bring the overall building coverage down below the maximum of 35%; and 2. The final building design will be submitted to the Commission for review prior to construction. Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
