CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
RESOLUTION NO. 93-005
A RESOLUTION OF THE SEWARD PLANNING AND ZONING
COMMISSION, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF PROPOSED
ORDINANCE NO. 93-06. AMENDING SEWARD ZONING CODE,
~ 15.10.215,PARKING
WHEREAS, a number of off-street parking code requirements appear to be overly
restrictive in relation to local needs; and
WHEREAS, the recently adopted Harbor Management Plan and Harbor Parking
Committee recommendations indicate a need to establish parking requirements for
harbors and marinas as well as day-cruise and charter operators; and
WHEREAS, the City Council introduced Ordinance No. 93-06. amending Seward
City Code ~ 15.10.215, Parking, at its meeting held on March 22, 1993; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the City Code, the Planning and Zoning
Commission must hold a public hearing and submit written recommendations to the City
Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning
Commission that:
Section 1. Proposed Ordinance No. 93-06. amending Seward City Code ~
15.10.215, Parking, is recommended for enactment by the City Council
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning Commission this
7th day of April, 1993.
