HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes1994-009 Sponsored by Jones CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 94-009 A RESOLUTION OF THE SEWARD PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION, APPROVING A REQUEST FOR CONDmONAL USE PERMIT BY GILBERT KNIGHTEN DBA GIL'S GOODIES FOR A FAST FOOD VAN ON WT 7, BWCK 3, OCEANVIEW SUBDIVISION AS AUTHORIZED BY ~ 15.10.320 OF THE SEWARD ZONING CODE WHEREAS, Gilbert Knighten submitted a request for a Conditional Use Permit to operate a self-contained fast food van on Lot 7, Block 3, Oceanview Subdivision which is zoned Central Business District (CBD); and WHEREAS, drive-in fast food restaurant services are allowed in the Central Business District by Conditional Use Permit; and WHEREAS, an application meeting the requirements set forth in ~ 15.1O.320(B) of the Seward Zoning Code was submitted and received on May 16, 1994; and WHEREAS, a duly advertised public hearing, meeting the requirements set forth in ~ 15.01.040 was held by the Planning and Zoning Commission on June 1, 1994; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning Commission that: Section 1. The proposed use satisfies the conditions specified in ~ 15. 10. 320(D) of the Seward Zoning Code. Section 2. The City Clerk is authorized to issue a Conditional Use Permit to Gilbert Knighten dba Gil's Goodies for operation of a self-contained fast food van on Lot 7, Block 3, Oceanview Subdivision for a period ending on 09/30/94 subject to the following conditions: 1. The unit is to be totally self contained and not "hard" connected to city utilities. 2. The operator will provide on-site parking for employees and at least two customer parking spaces. Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. PASSED AND APPROVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning Commission this 1st day of June, 1994.
