RESOLUTION NO. 2B.:1O
A RESOLUTION OF THE SEWARD PLANNING AND ZONING
COMMISSION, GRANTING A SIX MONTH EXTENSION OF THE
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT ISSUED TO RESURRECTION CHRISTIAN
CHURCH FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW CHURCH ON LOT 30A,
BLOCK 30, ORIGINAL TOWNSITE OF SEWARD
WHEREAS, on June 3, 1998 the Planning & Zoning Commission approved Resolution
98-10 which granted a conditional use permit to Resurrection Christian Church for the
development of a new church on Lot 30A, Block 30, Original Townsite of Seward; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Code stipulates that an approved conditional use permit lapses
six (6) months after approval if no building permit is procured or if the allowed use is not initiated;
and
WHEREAS, SCC ~ 15.10.320 (E) states that the Commission may grant time extensions
not to exceed six months each upon a finding that circumstances have not changed sufficiently to
warrant a reconsideration of the approval of the CUP; and
WHEREAS, on November 10, 1998 Charles E. Fultz, Minister of the Christian Church,
submitted a written request for a six month extension of the approved conditional use permit; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning
Commission that:
Section 1. Circumstances have not changed sufficiently to warrant reconsideration of the
Conditional Use Permit issued to Resurrection Christian Church on June 3, 1998.
Section 2. The Conditional Use Permit issued to Resurrection Christian Church on June
3, 1998, is hereby extended until June 3, 1999.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning Commission this 2nd
day of December, 1998.
