PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
RESOLUTION NO. 2003-13
RESOLUTION OF THE SEWARD PLANNING AND ZONING COMMIS-
SION, RECOMMENDING KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH APPROVAL OF
THE LEIRER INDUSTRIAL SUBDIVISION, BECKER REPLAT, A
RESUBDIVISION OF LOTS 5 AND 6, BLOCK 1, LEIRER INDUSTRIAL
SUBDIVISION SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS
WHEREAS, Cline & Associates submitted a preliminary plat of Leirer Industrial
Subdivision, Becker Replat to the City of Seward for review and recommendation to the Kenai
Peninsula Borough; and
WHEREAS, the re-subdivision moves the interior lot line between Lots 5 and 6, to the by
North approximately 20.68 feet; and
WHEREAS, the property is zoned Industrial which allows for a minimum lot size of 10,000
square feet and a minimum lot width of 100 feet; and
WHEREAS, the new lots meet the minimum lot size and width requirements of the Seward
Zoning Code; and
WHEREAS, the municipal water, sewer and electric is currently available to the property;
and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Seward City Code, the Commission held a public hearing on
the preliminary plat at its July 1, 2003 regular meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning
Commission that:
Section 1. The Commission recommends that the Kenai Peninsula Borough approve the
Leirer Industrial Subdivision, Becker Replat, a re-subdivision of Lots 5 and 6, Block 1, Leirer
Industrial Subdivision, subject to the sub-divider meeting the following conditions:
1. Provide the utility easements identified on the preliminary plat;
2. Provide an as-built survey so that the City can verilY that the re-subdivision will not create
any encroachments into required setbacks.
