Urie to David M. and Daniel Roseta - The <br />Manager presented the completed application form on which <br />the Uries had indicated their willingness to transfer the <br />license and oontaining a report from the City Clerk Treasurer <br />as to any bills of any nature whatsoever owing to the City <br />by any of the parties involved and a report from the Chief of <br />Police regarding records of his office regarding these indivi- <br />duals; there being no adverse report, the City Manager recom- <br />mended approval of the transfer. City Council examined the <br />application form. Councilman Lewis - I ould move th this <br />re u s e'a v d se onded Clmn Albertson a in fav r. <br /> <br />Item 5E - Resolution No. 429 Approving Contract for Purchase <br />of Power Line Easement from The Alaska Railroad for Glacier <br />Farms Service. - The City Manager explained that this easement <br />was necessary to service the Glacier Farms and it had been <br />requested by the City last August when Glacier Farms commenced <br />its construction program. Resolution No. 429 was read in <br />full as follows: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 429 <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED that Contract No. 14-25-0003-2768 between the <br />UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR, THE ALASKA RAILROAD <br />and THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, for permit to construct and <br />maintain an electric power transmission line across The Alaska <br />Railroad right-of-way and main line track at Mile 5 near <br />Seward, Alaska, beginning September 1, 1964 and for a period <br />of ten years for a lump sum fee of $25.00 plus a fee of $10.00 <br />per annum commencing September 1, 1964, be and is hereby <br />approved and the City Manager and City Clerk-Treasurer are <br />hereby instructed to execute and deliver said contract. <br /> <br />This Resolution to be in full force and effect immediately <br />upon passage and approval. Passed and approved by the C.mmon <br />Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 15th Bay of <br />March, 1965.' <br /> <br />The City Manager advised that the permit form was the model <br />which the Alaska Railroad always uses for overhead power line <br />easements. Sadusk - I move we a rove es No 2 <br />se~onge(LJ:1:L en m re vor. <br /> <br />Item 5F - Resolution No. 430 Approving Easement for City Sewer <br />near The Alaska Railroad Docks_ The City Manager explained that <br />this was the outfall presently serving the Small Boat Harbor <br />and the outfall will be established East of the Railroad Dock <br />and will cross Railroad property so that it is necessary for <br />the City to have an 'easement for it. The 'City Council had <br />received copies of this easement prior to the meeting. Resolution <br />No. 430 was read in full as' follows: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO~ 430 <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED that Contract No. 14-25-0003-2769, Agreement <br />between the City of Seward and The Alaska Railroad for the <br />construction and maintenance of the City's sanitary sewer <br />and outfall on Alaska Railroad Property at or near the <br />Railroad docks, rent free, for a period of twenty (20) years <br />beginning March 1, 1965, be and is hereby approved and the <br />City Manager and City Clerk are instructed to execute and <br />deliver said Contract. <br /> <br />This Resolution to be in fUll force and effect immediately <br />upon passage and approval. Passed and approved by the Common <br />Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 15th day of <br />March, 1965. <br /> <br /> <br />ution No. 0 <br /> <br />Item 5G -Accounts Payable for February 1965 - The Council <br />reviewed the schedule of accounts payable containing vendors <br />name total amount of the bill and the amounts applicable <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />..
