RESOLUTION 2000-71
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PAY $22,191.26 TO
HOMER ELECTRIC ASSOCIATION FOR CONTRACT SERVICES
RENDERED TO INSTALL UNDERGROUND ELECTRICAL FACILITIES
FOR THE CITY OF SEWARD.
WHEREAS, the City of Seward crews were already engaged in installing services to various
customers in the service territory; and
WHEREAS, Seward Park Subdivision and Herndon and Thompson RV Park needed
electrical service as soon as possible this spring; and
WHEREAS, Homer Electric Association (REA) had an underground crew available which
they were willing to have work in the Seward area for a short period of time: and
WHEREAS, utilizing the REA crew allowed the Seward Electric Utility to install the services
to customers in a timely manner;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to pay Homer Electric Association $22,191.26
for contract services to install underground electrical facilities to Herndon and Thompson RV Park,
and the Seward Park Subdivision.
Section 2. This billing will be charged to Account 501-5300-5390.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council ofthe city of Seward, Alaska, this 10th day
of July, 2000.
