RESOLUTION NO. 81-h
A RESOLUTION OF THE SEWARD CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING
THE DISPOSAL BY NEGOTIATED SALE OF N~ OF LOT 32,
BLOCK 25, ORIGINAL TOWNSITE OF SEWARD, TO
DONALD W. AND JEAN E. CRIPPS
WHEREAS, the City of Seward has acquired property within
the City limits of the City of Seward through the Kenai Peninsula
Borough Tax foreclosure proceedings; and
WHEREAS, the subject parcel, measuring 1500 square feet,
is too small for residential development and therefore of value
only to the adjacent property owners; and
WHEREAS, given the small size of the property and its
limited value to any but the adjacent property owners, the City
Council has found it in the public interest not to dispose of
the property through the public bidrling process; and
WHEREAS, of the two adjacent property owners, one has
declined jnterest in purchasing the lot and the other is interested
in pur~hasing the lot; aDd
WHEREAS, it is in the puhlic interest to complete the
sale of this property at the Kenai Ppninsula Borough asspssed
valuation of $2,250; and
WHEREAS, there have been two public hearings on the pro-
posed disposal of the property in the manner stated above with no
opposition expressed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Seward, Alaska, that:
Section 1. The property described as follows shall be
sold to Donald W. and Jean E. Cripps for the price of $2,250:

Section 2. The City Manager is authorized and directed to
a standard form quit claim deed upon receipt of the purchase
(See Attachment A)
Se~tion 3. This resolution shall take effect 30 days after
passage and posting as required by law.

The Grantor, the CITY OF SEWARD, a first class municipal corpora-
tion, located in the Kenai Peninsula Borough, State of Alaska, for and in
consideration of the sum of Two Thousand Two Hundred Fifty and No/l00ths
Dollars ($2,500.00) lawful money of the United States of America, and other
good and valuable considerations in hand paid, convey and quitclaim to
Donald W. and Jean E. Cripps, as tenants by the entirety with the right
of survivorship, and to the heirs and assigns of the survivors forever,
without warranty, the following described real property situated in the
Seward Recording District, Third Judicial District, State of Alaska, and
more particularly described as follows:
The North one-half (1/2) of Lot 32, Block 25, Original
Townsite of Seward, Seward Recording District, State of
Alaska.
