CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA RESOLUTION NO. 84-14 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING AN EXCHANGE OF CITY OWNED LOT 4, JESSE LEE HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION ADDITION NO.2, FOR PRIVATELY OWNED LOTS 22-24, BLOCK 1; LOTS 1-7, BLOCK 8; AND LOTS 1-7 AND 34-40, BLOCK 9, TERMINAL ADDITION WHEREAS, the Seward City Council has previously found it to be in the public interest to enter into negotiations to trade Lot 4, Jesse Lee Heights Subdivision Addition No.2, for Lots 22-24, Block 1; Lots 1-7, Block 8; and Lots 1-7 and 34-40, BLock 9, Terminal Addition; and WHEREAS, City Council has previously found it in the public interest to negotiate this land trade without benefit of an appraisal; and WHEREAS, this exchange of property will put the City in the position of sole ownership of the proposed Gateway Subdivision, which in turn will give the City more flexibility in the development and disposal of the land; and WHEREAS, this exchange will put Lot 4, Jesse Lee Heights Subdivision Addition No.2, on the tax rolls and in the ownership of a party looking at developing additional much needed housing units in the community; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that: Section 1. The City Manager is directed to attached deed (Exhibit "A") transferring Lot 4, Jesse Subdivision Addition No. 2 to Mr. Donald L. Snellman. execute the Lee Heights Section 2. The City Manager is further directed to accept a deed from Mr. Donald L. Snellman for Lots 22-24, Block 1; Lots 1-7, Block 8; and Lots 1-7 and 34-40, BLock 9, Terminal Addition (attached Exhibit "B"). Section 3. Said deeds (Exhibits "A" and "B") shall be incor- porated herein as a part of this resolution. Section 4. This resolution shall take effect thirty (30) days after adoption. SNELLMAN, a single man whose address is 500 First Avenue South, Seattle, Hashington, 98lC14, the following described real property, situated in the Sewarrl P..ecording District, Third Judicial District, State of Alaska, to wit: .
