APRIL 23, 2018
The SMIC Re=Launch event was big success! There's nothing like having the Governor & First Lady in town
to really set the mood! Commissioner Luiken & his wife were here for the ARRC reception and Senator Peter
Micciche honored us by cutting the ribbon over at SMIC with Louie Bencardino. A couple of our partners from
Washington made it up, Renata Bennett of Tote Maritime and Susie Ripley from SeaTac Marine.
But honestly — for me it was the community turnout that meant the most. So much positive optimism — I saw
lots of folks taking the opportunity to network and build relationships. Because that's what it's really all about,
right? We work together to achieve more for Seward. Thanks once again to PACAB (Laura!), the hard-working
Harbor Crew and the SMIC focus group for putting this all together.
