Port and Commerce Advisory Board Minutes

The September 6, 2017 regular meeting of the Port and Commerce Advisory Board was
called to order at 12:05 p.m. by Chair Darryl Schaefermeyer.
OPENING CEREMONY
Board Member Christy Terry led the pledge of allegiance to the flag.

Terry mentioned there will be 69 cruise ships in 2018 as opposed to 63 in 2017. The
Windstar Cruise line is part of the increase.

to the Seward Marine Industrial Center (SMIC) development plan".

Andrews - None
Hughes will be absent for the October and November meetings.
Terry will be absent for the October 2nd meeting. She will be at the AAHPA's Annual
Conference in Petersburg. She welcomed Laura Schneider, PACAB's newest board member and
Latesha Layne, Executive Liaison.
Schneider thanked everyone for the warm welcome.
Schaefermeyer suggested a board field trip to SMIC. He welcomed Laura Schneider,
PACAB's newest board member and Latesha Layne, Executive Liaison.
