Call to Order
The March 13, 2013 special meeting of the Seward Historic Preservation Commission was
called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Chair Linda Lasota.
Opening Ceremony
Commissioner French led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll Call
There were present: Chair Linda Lasota presiding, and
John French Catherine Richardson
Sarah Fink Frank DeMarco
Comprising a quorum of the Commission, and
Patricia Linville and Tim Morrow,Library/Museum staff
Special Reports
None.
City Administration Report
Library Museum: Linville explained the current planned City department uses of old Library and
Museum spaces.The Library Museum mural hanging is on May 11th.The Museum grand opening is
on May 11th,at which the HP Commission is invited to attend and operate a Public Outreach Booth.

Richardson reported there were no updates.

Informational Items
Linville reported that Commissioner Capra resigned his commission via e-mail.
Linville also stated that Fink had finished the thank you letter to Tember Eliason.
Lasota volunteered to compose a thank you letter to former Commissioner Capra.
Fink cleared the room of guilt and confusion when she informed the Commission that the

February minutes revealed that it was in fact Commissioner French who volunteered to
complete the thank you letter to Hinders.
Commission Comments
Richardson inquired how to re-up for her expiring commission. Linville answered that she
could re-apply by talking with Johanna Kinney.
Fink was curious about HP scheduled meetings during April and May.
Lasota expressed her admiration of the idea for an HP booth at the Museum grand opening
on May 11,2013. Lasota suggested that the April 17,2013 HP meeting be 30 minutes long
with a work session immediately following to plan the museum opening booth.Richardson
reported that she would be unable to attend the April 17, 2013 meeting.
Lasota and French welcomed Frank DeMarco onto the Commission.Lasota also welcomed
Tim Morrow onto the administrative body.
