The senior officials of the Moose Pass Volunteer Fire Company approached us requesting a formal mutual aid agreement. The mutual aid agreement provides for the sharing of equipment, materials and personnel. Many of the Moose Pass volunteer firefighters work in the Seward area. Having the ability to call on additional trained firefighters would be of great benefit to the City of Seward. The City of Seward currently has similar mutual aid agreements with the US Forest Service, Bear Creek Volunteer Fire Department, and the State of Alaska Forestry Division. This mutual aid agreement with the Moose Pass Volunteer Fire Company is a logical addition to our mutual aid agreements. CONSISTENCY CHECKLIST: Yes No 1. Comprehensive Plan ____ 2.
