RESOLUTION NO. 304
WHEREAS the City of Seward proposes to purchase from George
R. Miller certain property situate in Seward Recording Precinct,
State of Alaska, described as follows, to wit:
Lot Twenty-seven (27) in Block Twelve (12) of
the Original Townsite of the City of 3eward,
Alaska, according to the dedication, map and
plat thereof;
Together with all and singular the tenements,
hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto
belonging or in anywise appertaining; and
WHEREAS the proposed purchase price for said property is all
outstanding taxes due, owing and delinquent on the above described
real property, together with any and all interest and penalty
accruing thereon, being in lieu of foreclosure proceedings against
said property by the City of Seward; and
'NHEREAS GEORGE R. MILLER has agreed to deliver a Warranty
Deed covering said property to the City of Seward upon considera-
tion of being relieved of the burden of payment of said delinquent
taxes, penalty and interest; and
WHEREAS a public hearing upon such proposed purchase was held
on January 21, 1963 and continued on February 4, 1963, after
notice having been posted, all in accordance with Ordinance No.
315; and there were no valid objections made at said public hear-
ing to the purchase of said property by the City in the manner
aforesaid; and
WHEREAS the City of Seward now desires to complete the
transaction;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Manager and Clerk
of the City of Seward are hereby authorized and directed to consu-
mate said purchase in the following manner: (1) To receive from
George R. Miller a good and sufficient Warranty Deed conveying
said property to the City of Seward; and (2) To apply toward
settlement and payment of all due and delinquent taxes, penalty
and interest upon said property the sums necessary as set out

above, so that George R. Miller shall be relieved of the burden
of payment thereof; and (3) Said Warranty Deed to require that
Grantor thereby waive any right of redemption to said real
property.
This Resolution to be in full force and effect immediately
upon passage and approval.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of Seward, Alaska,
this leth day of February, 1963.
