Subject: RE: P&7 Work Session on Sept. 29
Hi Dwayne,
I will be out of the country when the P&Z meeting is held. I believe that at the meeting between P&Z and council I
brought up the subject of building homes on smaller lots. The most recent inquiry was by Councilmember Terry. I really
think the problem is that people that have these lots don't realize or choose not to sell them. If building on these lots is
already allowed, I don't really know what else can be done, but maybe having a work session will bring awareness that
houses can be built on smaller lots.

Subject: P&Z Work Session on Sept. 29
Hello Marianna,
The Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled to hold a work session on September 29. The topic is: "Examine the
Development of 30 by 100 foot Lots."
I think that we could look at ways to further encourage the development of those lots beyond what the Code currently
allows by reviewing the platting and development standards. As you know, almost all of the 30 by 100 foot lots are
south of A Street. There are some 30 by 100 lots just south of the Lagoon (just north of Van Buren Street) but that is
about it.
Do you have any thoughts regarding development that we might look into or consider?
Please let me know if there is anything you want me to research.
Thank you,
