Agenda Item: Discuss the SMIC Bench Feasibility Study
Background and justification:
With the affordable, year-round housing shortage that currently exists, the City needs to make every
effort to provide opportunities to create additional space for housing development to not only meet
our current need but also to remove barriers for future economic development.
The property located on the"bench"to the north of SMIC at 700 Nash Rd. (Legal Description: T IS R
1E & 1W SEC 7 8 17 18 12 & 13 SEWARD MERIDIAN SW 0980004 FOURTH OF DULY CREEK SUB NO
2 TRACT G EXCLUDING LOT G-1 ANDERSON REPLAT SW 2001009)
R&M Engineering will be providing City Council and the public a presentation on the Feasibility Study
on September 261" and PACAB members are asked to provide their input on this preliminary feasibility
study.
