Present: Deputy City Clerk Kris Peck
Commission Members Present:
Libbrecht, Ward, LeMaster, Benoit
Cheryl Seese arrived at 6:49 p.m.
Walker arrived at 6:12 p.m.
Vice Chair Ward made a color -coded grid for their 2023 schedule in the
packet.
Ward clarified this schedule grid would be revised for 2023 because it still
contained some information from 2022.
Ward mentioned how she assisted Zudy's Restaurant in obtaining grant
money to install a new drainage system to save the building from rotting
wood. HP's approach was to help people help themselves and there is grant
money out there.
HP would like to create a grant library for reference that anyone could access.
The grants would only need to be updated and reworded slightly for each new
project. The basic template was the same for all.
Libbrecht said some historic home owners think they can't update or modify
their homes due to being historic. However, with education there is a lot more
possible than they might think. There are a lot of resources, advice and money
out there to help. HP can help direct them to the proper resources.
Benoit provided updates on the window decals for digital walking tour maps.
People could scan the QR codes and get the map loaded on their smart
phones.
Adjourn at 6:52 p.m.
