WHEREAS, one of tho leaders and the principal spokesman for the
City of Seward and its vicinity was Under Secretary of the Interior
James K. Carr. ,.~!o, acting through his poat. assisteo in every way in
tho proper dissemination of vital information on Soward and it. economy,
and in convincing other Governmental officials in Hachington, D.C., of
the feasibility of such reconstruction:
NOW, 'l'l:IEREF0ItE. 1m IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the CI'l'Y
OF SEWARD, Ala.ka, that this Resolution, aa an expression of appreciation
from the City and citizens of Sewerd, Al.aka, be enacted, honoring
JAMES K. CAl\R for his efforts on behalf of the City and the dtbena of
Seward, Alaska.
J3E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the best wiahes and kindest personal
regards go from the sdd City and its Citiz8lUl to the said JAMBS K. CARR
in his new position .a General Manager of Utilities for the City and
County of San Francisco. California.
