RESOLUTION NO. ~5~
BE IT RESOLVED that the plans and specifications for
construction of sidewalks in the commercial area of the City,
the total cost of which is to be reimbursed by the United
States of America, Office of Emergency Planning, be and are
hereby approved; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that since it is necessary to complete
construction of the sidewalks before previously scheduled
street paving in this same area already under contract, and
since the minimum advertising time as set forth in Section
12.3(c) of the Home Rule Charter would result in an over-
lapping of these two projects, it is hereby determined that
an emergency exists, that the aforementioned requirement
be and is hereby waived, and that the City Clerk be and is
hereby instructed to advertise notice that bids will be
received by the City for said sidewalk construction for a
period of not less than one week.
This Resolution to be in full force and effect immediately
upon passage and approval. Passed and approved by the
Common Council of the City of Seward this t J.,. day of
July, 1965.
