RESOLUTION NO. 484
BE IT RESOLVED that AMENDATORY AGREEMENT AMENDING LOCAL
GRANT-IN-AID AND COOPERATION AGREEMENT By and Between the
CITY OF SEWARD and the ALASKA STATE HOUSING AUTHORITY for
PROJECT NO. ALASKA R-2l SEWARD AREA, SEWARD, reducing the
total estimated project cost from $1,679,725 to $1,361,377
be and is hereby approved and the Mayor, City Manager and
City Clerk-Treasurer are hereby instructed to execute and
deliver said Amendatory Agreement.
For recording purposes, reference is hereby made to the
minutes of the special meeting of the Seward City Council
held on the 5th day of August, 1964 when the existing
Agreement was authorized.
This Resolution to be in full force and effect immediately
upon passage and approval. Passed and approved by the
Common Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 6th
day of December, 1965.

AMENDATORY AGREEMENT
AMENDING
LOCAL GRANT-IN-AID AND COOPERATION AGREEMENT
By and Between the
CITY OF SEWARD
and the
ALASKA STATE HOUSING AUTHORITY
for
PROJECT NO. ALASKA R-2l
SEWARD AREA, SEWARD
THIS AMENDATORY AGREEMENT made and entered into on the date hereinbelow
specified, by and between the City of Seward, Alaska, (herein called the
"Local Government"), and the Alaska State Housing Authority (herein called the
"Local Public Agency") I'1ITNESSETH:
In consideration of the mutual covenants, premises and representations
contained herein and in that certain Local Grant-in-Aid and Cooperation Agree-
ment for Project No. Alaska R-2l, Seward Area, dated August 7, 1964, by and
between the parties hereto (herein called the "Existing Agreement"), it is
mutually agreed as follows:
SEC. 1. The Existing Agreement is hereby amended:
(a) By exscinding lines nine (9), ten (10), eleven (11),
twelve (12) and thirteen (13) of the second paragraph of
Page 3 thereof and inserting in lieu thereof the
following:
"---approximately One Million Three Hundred Sixty-One
Thousand Three Hundred Seventy-Seven Dollars ($1,361,377),
of which amount the Federal Government is expected to provide
an amount estimated to be One Million Two Hundred Twenty
Five Thousand Two Hundred Forty Dollars ($1,225,240) in
the form of a capital grant, leaving a balance of
One Hundred Thirty-Six Thousand One Hundred Thirty-Seven
Dollars ($136,137) in the form -----."
(b) By exscinding the "Table of Cash Local Grants-in-Aid, under
Sec. 1. (a) on Pages 4 and 5 thereof and inserting in lieu
thereof the following "Table of Cash Local Grants-in-Aid":

TABLE OF CASH LOCAL GRANTS-IN-AID
(c) By deleting in Sec. l(b) on Page 8, lines seven (7), eight (8),
nine (9) and ten (10) thereof, the amounts of Eight Thousand
Five Hundred Fifty Dollars ($8,550).
(d) By deleting Schedule 1. of Sec. 10 on Page 19 thereof
any reference to Land Donations.

SEC. 2.
This Amendatory Agreement shall be executed in six
counterparts, each of which shall be deemed to be an original,
and such counterparts shall constitute one and the same
instrument.
SEC. 3.
The Local Government certifies that all conditions precedent
to the valid execution and delivery of this Amendatory Agree-
ment on its part have been complied with, that all things
necessary to constitute this Amendatory Agreement, a valid,
binding and legal agreement, have been done and have occurred,
and that the execution and delivery of this Amendatory Agreement
on its part have been and are in all respects authorized in
accordance with law. The Local Public Agency similarly certifies
with reference to the latter's execution and delivery of this
Amendatory Agreement.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Local Government has caused this Amendatory Agree-
ment to be duly executed and its seal to be hereunto affixed and attested and,
thereafter, the Local Public Agency has caused the same to be duly executed in
its behalf this 7th day of Deo.-aber , 1965.
