THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 490
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska, through spokesmen for its Legis-
1ature, on the 9th day of March, 1964, offered the then exist-
ing State-City Office Building to The City of seward for the
sum of one dollar; and
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska, through spokesmen for its Legis-
lature at that time indicated that the state would not continue
to maintain and operate said building; and
WHEREAS, The City of Seward accepted said offer by verbal notice
given on the 9th day of March, 1964, and by written notice dated
the 19th day of March, 1964; and
WHEREAS, The City of Seward desires to hold title to said build-
ing and the land on which it is situated by reason of the afore-
stated offer and acceptance:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Senator Howard W. Pollock be
and is hereby requested to re-introduce to this second Session
of the Fourth Legislature his Senate Bill No. 40 or similar
legislation to provide for conveyance of the State Court and City
Hall and Offices Building and Lots 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 in Block
16 of the Original Townsite of The City of Seward, by the State
of Alaska to The City of Seward.
This Resolution to be effective on the date of passage and
approval.
Passed and approved by the Common Council of The City
