RESOLUTION NO. 546
WHEREAS, the marine.-dealer facility being purchased by The City of
Seward from Standard Oil Company of California at the time of the
March 27, 1964 disaster was completely destroyed in said disaster; and
WHEREAS, the manner of reconstruction of the Seward Municipal Small
Boat Harbor requires a larger facility;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the plans and specifications for
City of Seward Marine Fueling Facility, to be the same as the Alaska
Department of Public Works, Division of Water and Harbors, Typical
24' x. 46' Seaplane Float, to be constructed by Standard Oil Company
of California, be, and are hereby approved; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the aforementioned facility shall be
located at the place where the East end of the liT" joins the East
side of the City Dock in the Seward Municipal Small Boat Harbor; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following agreements between Standard
Oil Company of California and The City of Seward which are modifica-
tions of existing agreements for the aforementioned causes, be, and
are hereby approved and the City Manager and City Clerk are hereby
instructed to execute and deliver the following agreements including
exception to a portion of Item 3 of Marine Dealer Facilities lease;
Marine Dealer Facilities Lease dated June 10, 1966
to commence August 1, 1966 or when the leased
property is installed and. for term of three years
thereafter, in sum of $11,633.00, except that
facility is not yet constructed and therefore
the City has not inspected same and declines to
accept the facility as being in good and safe
condition until such final inspection and deter-
mination have been accomplished sometime in the
future.
Marine Dealer Agreement dated June 10, 1966 to
commence August 1, 1966 for a period of three
years and thereafter until notice of intent to
terminate is served.
