~ffiEREAS, the Council then called for sealed bids for purchase of the
property with minimum price of $12,600 and requirement that the bUi14-
ing be made to conform to the City's building, electrical and plurnbiqg
codes prior to any occupancyr said building to be immediately demoli~h?~
if no bids receivedr and
~1HEP~S, a public hearing was advertised and held to hear the opinions
of the public regarding this proposed sale of City property and no per-
son expressed an opinion for or against such saler and
~~~F~EAS, no bids were received but a proposal as stated below was re~
ceived: Excerpt from proposal and explanation of intended use dated
~lne 16, 1966: "I find myself unable to meet the bid specifications,
ClS there will be some expense to bring the building up to coder which
expense I am prepared to meet. I would be unable to make a down pay~
ment, but could readily pay a minimum of $3600.00 annually, plus 5%
interest and taxes, until the bid price of $12,600 is fully paid, (or
..,Thatever the lowest acceptable advertised price was on these lots).

WHEREAS, on the 20th day of June, 1966 the Ci ty Council voted to accept 1iJ
the above stated proposal of Bill Lantz a.k.a williaa J. Lantzraka W.J.Lant2

NOW, TlIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the offer of Bill Lantz a.k.a.W.J.L~
a.k.a.William J. Lantz to purchase Lots 21 and 22 in Block 16 of the Origi~al
TO'tlIlsite of the City of Seward, Alaska, together with all improvemen~s
thereon, be and is hereby accepted including the conditions stated '
above the same as if all set forth within this resolve, and the Real ~
Estate contract between The City of Seward and Bill Lantz a.k.a W.J.L~z
aka William J. Lantz and Donna B. Lantz conveying such propef~J
be and is hereby approved, and the City Manager and City Clerk are
hereby instructed to execute and deliver samer to receive the monthly
payments required by said Contract, and upon receipt of the final an~
total payment shall execute and deliver the Quit-claim Deed required
by said Contract.
Vt.1blication of this Resolution shall be by posting a copy thereof on;
tbe bulletin boards at City Hall and the U. S. Post Office in the Ci~y
of Seward, Alaska and publishing a brief statement of the purpose of.
the Resolution in a newspaper of general circulation within the City of
Seward within a reasonable time after enactment. This Resolution sh~ll
be effective thirty days after passage and approval.
I'l\SSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of The City of Seward, Alaska,
