Since that time, Boys and Girls Club has not utilized the van, and has expressed a willingness to return the vehicle to Parks and Recreation to utilize for their program participants. See the attached email correspondence between Seward Parks and Recreation Director Melanie Hauze and Boys and Girls Club Director Rebecca Swartz. As the City of Seward Parks and Recreation Sports programming expands, having access to a van capable of transporting staff and participants effectively will be of increasing value. If approved, this legislation will accept the vehicle back onto our books. The van has 22,353 miles on it currently.
