WBERBAS. the William B. Seward Grade School builcU.ng is nearly forty
years old. and thouCih it has been enlarCied two Umea, modified and
renovated over the years, it is obviously now past corrective lIleasures,
and
quake. and it is neither reasonable nor feasible to attempt to repair
the damaqe and correct the deficiencies thereby cauaed' and
WBBRBAS. said buildinq is no longer an a.set a. a plant to facilitate
the e4ucational programs of the school. but is. on the con~arY'. a

WBBRBAS. the City of Seward Municipal School District was abaorhec! into
the Kenai Peninsula Borough, School District without debt of any nature
whatsoever for the City subsequently provic5ecl the funda for payment of
the r-il1inq principal and interest on the Armory bonda, and

NOW, 'rBBRBFORB, BE 1'1' RESOLVED. in cooperation with the Seward Advlsozy
School Board. that the Kena.1 Peninsula BOrough AS.-bly and the Kenai
Peninsula Borougb School Board be, and are hereby petitioned to under...
take a program for construction of an eleentary achool within the City
of Seward iDlDediately, and, the seward City council hereby offera any
assiatance or cooperation it is able to provide to the above 1'laIIle4
bodies and to the Seward Advisory School Board.
This Reaolution to be effective on the date of paaaage an4 approval.
