The current forklift has experienced an unexpected failure and has been determined to be economically unfeasible to repair. This critical piece of equipment was inadvertently overlooked during the current budget cycle, necessitating immediate replacement to avoid operational disruptions. In exploring options, the Electric Department considered rental alternatives but determined that purchasing was substantially more economical. With rental fees totaling the purchase price in approximately two years, the outright purchase presents clear long-term savings. The Electric Department solicited quotes from three vendors. Only All Pro was able to provide a Toyota forklift with a three-phase lift capability, uniquely suitable for navigating through the existing warehouse fire door. The selected forklift from All Pro is competitively priced at $43,965.00, representing the best value and compatibility with existing infrastructure constraints. This acquisition is essential to maintain warehouse operations, improve efficiency, and ensure continued reliability in warehouse logistics and inventory management for the Electric Department.
