HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes1967-598 r i [ THE CITY OF SEWARD RESOLUTION NO. 598 WHEREAS, The city of Seward, as Recipient of Grant Funds and Borrower of Loan Funds from the U. S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration for Project No. 07-1-00089, Seward Small Boat Harbor Industrial Site Development, Dredging, Dock and Boat Lift, agreed in the Acceptance of the Grant and Loan Offer to submit to the Government its written covenants and the written covenants of any other owners of land benefited by said Project, that for two years following the date of the Acceptance of Said Offer that such owners shall not sell, lease, or otherwise make any part of such premises available for occupancy by any person, firm or entity, unless the proposed occupant first furnished to The City of Seward for transmittal to the Government properly executed standard forms covering the obli- gation of such occupant to comply with the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and evidencing that such occupancy is not in violation of the reloca- tion prohibitions of the Public works and Economic Development Act of 1965. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that COVENANT of The City of seward, AlaSka, as OWner of all of the benefited lands in the above described Project, said COVENANT setting forth the above stated promises of Owner as required by the Special Conditions of the said Grant and Loan Offer, be and is hereby authorized and approved and the ac:q.City Manager and the City clerk-Treasurer are hereby instructed to execute and deliver said COVENANT .
