NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Seward Planning and Zoning Commission will conduct public hearings
on the following items of business at a regular meeting on Tuesday, February 4, 2025:

from Seward City Code 15.10.220 Development Requirements to OBI Seafoods to install a condenser unit on top
of their building, reaching a height of 39’; Located at 601 Port Avenue; Marina Subdivision, Block 2 Replat, Lot
2A, Block 2; Within the Harbor Commercial (HC) Zoning District
Resolution 2025-005, of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Seward, Alaska, Granting a
Conditional Use Permit to Chugachmiut to construct and operate a pharmacy drive-thru window at the new
Chugachmiut Regional Health Center on Fort Raymond Subdivision Replat No 1, 2022 Addition, Lot 7A-2;
Located at 704 Aspen Lane; Within an Auto Commercial (AC) Zoning District
Resolution 2025-006, of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Seward, Alaska, Granting a
Conditional Use Permit to The Tufted Puffin LLC to operate a drive-thru window to sell retail cannabis products
and non-cannabis food and beverage items on Lot 1, Block 2, North Harbor Subdivision; Located at 408 Port
Avenue; Within an Auto Commercial (AC) Zoning District

BOARDS, COMMISSIONS & CITY REPRESENTATIVE VACANCIES
Planning & Zoning Commission
City Council is seeking applications from residents inside city limits interested in serving on the Planning & Zoning
Commission. There are three seats expiring at the end of February 2025. City Council will be making the new
City of Seward - Council Calendar Page 5 of 5

appointments at the February 24, 2025 council meeting. The new terms are for the full 3 years and will take effect
March 1, 2025.
Planning & Zoning holds regular meetings on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. and work sessions the
third Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. or at other times as needed.
Commissioners shall be compensated for service at the rate of $100 per month. Application forms are available in
the Office of the City Clerk and on the city website at www.cityofseward.us. Completed application forms must
be filed with the City Clerk. Please email clerk@cityofseward.net for more information.
PACAB (Port & Commerce Advisory Board)
City Council is seeking applications from residents of Seward and the surrounding area interested in serving on
PACAB. There is one seat available with a term expiring in July 2026. PACAB meets on the first and third
Wednesday of each month at noon. There are no PACAB meetings during the months of June, July, and August.
Application forms are available in the Office of the City Clerk and on the city website at www.cityofseward.us.
Completed application forms must be filed with the City Clerk. Please email clerk@cityofseward.net for more
information.
