Sue Ward was nominated and selected as Vice Chair. The Commission recommended placing Thorn’s/Flamingo Lounge on the Local Register of Historic Places. The November 14, 2025 Historic Preservation Commission Meeting Minutes were approved. ADJOURNMENT UPCOMING MEETINGS City Council Work Session Monday, February 10, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. City Council Chambers Topics: Design and engineering for the Seward Fire Station City Council Regular Meeting Monday, February 10, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. City Council Chambers All public is welcome to attend the meetings PUBLIC HEARINGS None BOARDS, COMMISSIONS & CITY REPRESENTATIVE VACANCIES Planning & Zoning Commission City Council is seeking applications from residents inside city limits interested in serving on the Planning & Zoning Commission. There are three seats expiring at the end of February 2025. City Council will be making the new appointments at the February 24, 2025 council meeting. The new terms are for the full 3 years and will take effect March 1, 2025. Planning & Zoning holds regular meetings on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. and work sessions the third Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. or at other times as needed. City of Seward - Council Calendar Page 4 of 4 Posted on February 5, 2025, at City Hall, Post Office, Harbormaster, Seward Community Library, and online at www.cityofseward.us Commissioners shall be compensated for service at the rate of $100 per month. PACAB (Port & Commerce Advisory Board) City Council is seeking applications from residents of Seward and the surrounding area interested in serving on PACAB. There is one seat available with a term expiring in July 2026. PACAB meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month at noon. There are no PACAB meetings during the months of June, July, and August. Application forms are available in the Office of the City Clerk and on the city website at www.cityofseward.us. Completed application forms must be filed with the City Clerk. Please email clerk@cityofseward.net for more information.
