All interested persons are invited to attend the meeting and participate in the discussion or write to the City Clerk at clerk@cityofseward.net City of Seward - Council Calendar Page 4 of 5 Posted on February 26, 2025, at City Hall, Post Office, Harbormaster, Seward Community Library, and online at www.cityofseward.us BOARDS, COMMISSIONS & CITY REPRESENTATIVE VACANCIES Port & Commerce Advisory Board (PACAB) City Council is seeking applications from those interested in serving on PACAB. There is one seat available for a resident inside city limits with a term expiring in July 2026. PACAB meets on the third Wednesday of each month at noon. There are no PACAB meetings during the months of June, July, and August. Application forms are available in the Office of the City Clerk and on the city website at www.cityofseward.us. Completed application forms must be filed with the City Clerk. Prince William Sound Regional Citizens’ Advisory Council (PWSRCAC) The PWSRCAC has a dedicated seat for a City of Seward representative. The current representative is Mike Brittain and his term is expiring in May 2025. This is an opportunity to influence decisions having profound implications for oil transportation safety in Alaska, and for the state’s oil spill prevention and response capabilities. The representative can expect to devote an average of 20 hours a month on PWSRCAC business. The full Board conducts three 2-day meetings in January, May, and September which can be attended in-person or virtual, of which member attendance is tracked. PWSRCAC staff provides support to board members whenever possible and covers associated travel costs. PWSRCAC has asked to be notified no later than March 17, 2025 of the selected individual for the City of Seward. Therefore, City Council will make the appointment on the March 10, 2025 City Council meeting.
