The following resolution had a public hearing and was approved:
Resolution 2025-020, of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Seward, Alaska, Recommending
City Council approval of the land use amendment to rezone the property located at 2500 Laurel Street from a
Resource Management (RM) zoning district to an Auto Commercial (AC) zoning district and the property located
at 1000 Hemlock Avenue from an Institutional (Ins) zoning district to an Auto Commercial (AC) zoning district
The following resolution had a public hearing and was amended and approved:
Resolution 2025-021, of the Planning and Zoning Commission recommending City Council amend Seward City
Code §15.10.220 and Table 15.10.222 Development Requirements regarding the language
The following resolution was approved:
Resolution 2025-019, of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Seward, Alaska, recommending
Kenai Peninsula Borough approval of the preliminary plat of a portion of land located at 303 Second Avenue,
vacating the interior lot lines and creating one lot
Other items:
The May 6, 2025 Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting Minutes were approved.
The June 17, 2025 Work Session topics will involve Title 15 and parking code requirements.

BOARDS & COMMISSIONS VACANCIES
Historic Preservation Commission
City Council is seeking applications from those interested in serving on the Historic Preservation Commission.
There are two seats expiring at the end of May 2025. These terms are for three years and will expire May 2028.
The commission meets four times a year, typically on a designated Thursday in January, May, September, and
November.
Application forms are available in the Office of the City Clerk and on the city website at www.cityofseward.us.
Completed application forms must be filed with the City Clerk. The appointments will be made at the Monday,
June 9, 2025 City Council meeting.
Port & Commerce Advisory Board (PACAB)
City Council is seeking applications from those interested in serving on PACAB. There is one seat available for a
resident inside city limits with a term expiring in July 2026. PACAB meets on the third Wednesday of each month
at noon. There are no PACAB meetings during the months of June, July, and August.
Application forms are available in the Office of the City Clerk and on the city website at www.cityofseward.us.
Completed application forms must be filed with the City Clerk.
