The Council Member seats currently held by Kevin Finch and Randy Wells will be available. The seat of the Mayor, currently held by Sue McClure, will also be available. All terms are for three years and will expire in October 2028. Candidate filing packets will be available in the office of the City Clerk, or may be downloaded from the city website. Box 167, Seward, AK 99664, or e-mailed to clerk@cityofseward.net BOARDS & COMMISSIONS VACANCIES Historic Preservation Commission City Council is seeking applications from those interested in serving on the Historic Preservation Commission. There is one seat available on the commission. This term is set to expire May 2028. The commission meets four times a year, typically on a designated Thursday in January, May, September, and November. Application forms are available in the Office of the City Clerk and on the city website at www.cityofseward.us. Port & Commerce Advisory Board (PACAB) City Council is seeking applications from those interested in serving on PACAB. There is one seat available for a resident inside city limits with a term expiring in July 2026. PACAB meets on the third Wednesday of each month at noon. There are no PACAB meetings during the months of June, July, and August. There are also two seats expiring at the end of July 2025.
