The following resolutions had a public hearing and were approved:
Resolution 2025-023, of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Seward, Alaska, granting a
conditional use permit to Harbor Holdings LLC to construct and operate an employee campground at 1713
Alameda Street within an Industrial zoning district [amended]
Resolution 2025-024, of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Seward, Alaska, recommending
Seward City Council and Kenai Peninsula Borough approval of the revised preliminary plat of the property located
at 3207 Sorrel Road, creating Spring Creek Park Replat [amended]
Resolution 2025-025, of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Seward, Alaska, recommending
Kenai Peninsula Borough approval of the preliminary plat of the property located at 2007 Olympia Road, creating
Lots 22-27 Gateway Subdivision 2025 Addition
Resolution 2025-026, of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Seward, Alaska, recommending

The July 1, 2025 Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting Minutes were approved.
The commission supported a memo for a code enforcement officer to be sent to city council.
The commission supported receiving updates from the KPB Planning Commissioner.
The next work session topic would involve parking in commercial zoning districts.

2025 CITY OF SEWARD
REGULAR MUNICIPAL ELECTION
FILING DATES & ELECTED OFFICES TO BE FILLED
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that any qualified voter living within the Seward city limits for at least one year
prior to August 15, 2025 may file a declaration of candidacy for Council Member or Mayor that will be voted
upon at the Regular Municipal Election on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
The Council Member seats currently held by Kevin Finch and Randy Wells will be available. The seat of the
Mayor, currently held by Sue McClure, will also be available. All terms are for three years and will expire in
October 2028.
Candidate filing packets are available in the office of the City Clerk, or may be downloaded from the city website.
Completed candidate packets must be filed in person with the City Clerk from Friday, August 1, 2025 through
Friday, August 15, 2025 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. [excluding weekends]

PUBLIC HEARINGS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Seward City Council will conduct public hearing on the following item
of business at a regular meeting on Monday, August 11, 2025:
Resolution 2025-074: Approving a Master Agreement to Terminate the Leases and Easement Near 301 Lowell
Point Road and Describe Concepts for a New Lease Near 3201 Sorrel Road Between the City of Seward and
Pacific Seafood
Public hearing documents are available for review at city hall. All interested persons are invited to attend the
meeting and participate in the discussion; or written comments may be sent to the City Clerk, P.O. Box 167,
Seward, AK 99664, or e-mailed to clerk@cityofseward.net
BOARDS & COMMISSIONS VACANCIES
Historic Preservation Commission
City Council is seeking applications from those interested in serving on the Historic Preservation Commission.
The commission meets four times a year, typically on a designated Thursday in January, May, September, and
November.
There is one seat available on the commission with a term set to expire May 2028.
At least four seats shall be filled by residents inside Seward city limits. If there are no city residents applying,
council may consider filling the seats with non-residents.
Application forms are available in the Office of the City Clerk and on the city website at www.cityofseward.us.
Port & Commerce Advisory Board (PACAB)
City Council is seeking applications from those interested in serving on PACAB. The board meets on the third
Wednesday of each month at noon. There are no PACAB meetings during the months of June, July, and August.
There is one seat available with a term expiring in July 2026.
There are two seats available with terms expiring in July 2028.
At least four seats shall be filled by residents inside Seward city limits. If there are no city residents applying,
council may consider filling the seats with non-residents.
