Resolution 2025-027, of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Seward, Alaska, recommending City
Council approval of the land use amendment to rezone 2400 Dimond Blvd, 2400 Birch Street, 2404 Birch Street,
2406 Birch Street, 2411 Spruce Street, 2500 Birch Street, and 2501 Spruce Street, from a rural residential (RR)
zoning district to a multi-family (R3) zoning district

Resolution 2025-030, of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Seward Alaska, recommending the
City Council amend Seward City Code §15.20 Signs
Public hearing documents are available for review at city hall. All interested persons are invited to attend the

BOARDS & COMMISSIONS VACANCIES
Historic Preservation Commission
City Council is seeking applications from those interested in serving on the Historic Preservation Commission.
The commission meets four times a year, typically on a designated Thursday in January, May, September, and
November.
There is one seat available on the commission with a term set to expire May 2028.
At least four seats shall be filled by residents inside Seward city limits. If there are no city residents applying,
council may consider filling the seats with non-residents.
Application forms are available in the Office of the City Clerk and on the city website at www.cityofseward.us.
Port & Commerce Advisory Board (PACAB)
City Council is seeking applications from those interested in serving on PACAB. The board meets on the third
Wednesday of each month at noon. There are no PACAB meetings during the months of June, July, and August.
There is one seat available with a term expiring in July 2026.
There is one seat available with a term expiring in July 2028.
At least four seats shall be filled by residents inside Seward city limits. If there are no city residents applying,
council may consider filling the seats with non-residents.

NOTICE OF VOTER REGISTRATION
FOR MUNICIPAL ELECTION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, there will be a municipal election held in City
Hall in Seward, Alaska in accordance with Seward City Code, Title 4.
As provided by AS 15.07.070, a person is qualified to vote who is or will be at the time of the election:
• A citizen of the United States; and
• An Alaska resident; and
• 18 years of age or will be 18 on election day; and
• A resident of the city for at least thirty (30) days before an election; and
• Not be registered to vote in another state unless you are willing to cancel your registration in that state;

and
• Registered to vote on or before the registration deadline; and not be registered to vote in any other
jurisdiction; and
• Not be a convicted felon involving moral turpitude, unless your voting rights have been restored.
The deadline for residents to register to vote or update their voter registration is Sunday, September 7, 2025.

office.
Note: To register in person with the city clerk, please come to the office no later than Friday, September 5, 2025
at 4:30 p.m. and bring a photo ID.
