There is one seat available with a term set to expire at the end of February 2027. Planning & Zoning holds regular meetings on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. and work sessions the third Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. or at other times as needed. Commissioners shall be compensated for service at the rate of $100 per month. Application forms are available in the Office of the City Clerk and on the city website at www.cityofseward.us. Completed application forms must be filed with the City Clerk. Please email clerk@cityofseward.net for more information. Historic Preservation Commission City Council is seeking applications from those interested in serving on the Historic Preservation Commission. The commission meets four times a year, typically on a designated Thursday in January, May, September, and November. There is one seat available on the commission with a term set to expire May 2028. At least four seats shall be filled by residents inside Seward city limits. If there are no city residents applying, council may consider filling the seats with non-residents. Port & Commerce Advisory Board (PACAB) City Council is seeking applications from those interested in serving on PACAB. The board meets on the third Wednesday of each month at noon. There are no PACAB meetings during the months of June, July, and August. There is one seat available with a term expiring in July 2026 There is one seat available with a term expiring in July 2028 At least four seats shall be filled by residents inside Seward city limits. If there are no city residents applying, council may consider filling the seats with non-residents.
