Andrew Wilder was appointed to the Planning & Zoning Commission with a term set to expire February 2027. There were no grounds for protest to the renewal of the AMCO retail marijuana store license for the Tufted Puffin at 408 Port Avenue. The commission meets four times a year, typically on a designated Thursday in January, May, September, and November. There is one seat available on the commission with a term set to expire May 2028. At least four seats shall be filled by residents inside Seward city limits. If there are no city residents applying, council may consider filling the seats with non-residents. Port & Commerce Advisory Board (PACAB) City Council is seeking applications from those interested in serving on PACAB. The board meets on the third Wednesday of each month at noon. There are no PACAB meetings during the months of June, July, and August. There is one seat available with a term expiring in July 2026 and one seat available with a term expiring in July 2028. At least four seats shall be filled by residents inside Seward city limits. If there are no city residents applying, council may consider filling the seats with non-residents.
